Job Description

Are you a morning person who loves great coffee, connecting with people, and starting the day with energy and purpose? We’re looking for a passionate Barista to join our Food & Beverage team at Hotel Chadstone Melbourne MGallery, where five-star luxury meets warm, genuine service.

If you can deliver exceptional coffee at pace, bring a smile to every guest interaction, and work seamlessly with a supportive team, this is your chance to be part of something special.

Important: This role requires availability from 6:00am for Breakfast service.

What you’ll be doing…

- Craft consistently excellent coffee, from rich espressos to beautifully poured lattes, with speed and precision in a high-volume environment

- Greet every guest warmly, remembering names and personalising interactions to create memorable experiences

- Work collaboratively with the Food & Beverage team to deliver seamless service

- Keep your workspace clean, organised, and ready for the next rush





- Share your coffee knowledge and recommendations to enhance each guest’s experience

- Bring energy and positivity to early mornings, setting the tone for the day

Hourly Pay rates:

Mon to Fri: $25.85 (+ $2.81 evening loading after 7pm)

Saturday: $32.31

Sunday: $38.78

Public Holidays: $58.16

Plus:

- Guaranteed minimum weekly hours

- Paid annual leave, including leave loading

- Penalty rates for weekends and public holidays

Qualifications

- Proven barista skills with the ability to deliver consistent quality under pressure

- A positive attitude and genuine passion for hospitality

- Strong communication skills and confidence engaging with guests

- A team player who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

- Great attention to detail and pride in presentation

- Availability to start from 6:00am on a rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays

- Current RSA Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
