We are seeking experienced Procurement Managers to join a high-performing procurement team supporting a major WA government agency. This is an excellent opportunity for a procurement professional with extensive experience managing complex and high-risk procurements across Goods, Services, Works, ICT and Community Services.
In this role, you will lead end-to-end procurement activities for contracts valued over $50,000, from procurement planning and tender development through to contract award and governance. You will work closely with a broad range of stakeholders, providing expert procurement advice while ensuring compliance with government procurement legislation and policies.

About the Role
As Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for developing and managing high-risk procurement processes and contracts while providing strategic procurement and contract governance advice. You will play a critical role in supporting procurement outcomes that align with agency objectives and government procurement requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage end-to-end procurement processes for high-risk and complex contracts.
- Develop procurement plans, tender documentation, evaluation reports and contract formation documentation.
- Provide expert advice on procurement planning, contract development, contract management and governance.
- Lead procurement activities across Goods, Services, Works, ICT and Community Services.
- Support contract renewal and extension strategies.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, suppliers and contractors.
- Resolve complex procurement and contractual issues through consultation and negotiation.
- Mentor, coach and support procurement team members.




- Contribute to the development of procurement policies, procedures, standards and process improvements.
- Deliver procurement-related presentations, workshops and awareness sessions.
- Monitor compliance with government procurement legislation, policies and agency requirements.
- Prepare reports, briefs and recommendations for senior stakeholders.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
Essential Experience & Skills

- Significant experience undertaking high-risk and complex procurement activities.
- Strong procurement and contract governance expertise.
- Experience working within a complex procurement and contracting workplace.
- Proven ability to manage, mentor and support team members.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication and negotiation skills.
- Experience preparing complex procurement, tender and contract documentation.
- Strong analytical, conceptual and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to identify procurement risks and implement effective risk management strategies.
- Sound knowledge of government procurement legislation, policies and procedures.
- Understanding of the Procurement Act 2020 and WA Procurement Rules.
- Experience providing strategic procurement advice to diverse stakeholders.

Desirable Qualifications

- Relevant tertiary qualification in Procurement, Commerce,



Business, Law, Supply Chain Management or a related discipline.
- Professional procurement certifications will be highly regarded.
