Technically, you'll continue developing through exposure to:

- Wet fire systems including sprinklers, hydrants, hose reels and special hazards.
- Complex compliance requirements, Australian Standards and performance-based fire solutions.
- Healthcare, aviation, defence, commercial, residential, education and industrial developments.
- Heavy industry, hazardous facilities, mining, oil & gas and dangerous goods environments.
- Close collaboration with Fire Engineers, Fire Safety Consultants, Structural Fire Engineers and Dangerous Goods specialists to deliver integrated fire safety solutions.

You'll also strengthen your project delivery skills through:

- Delivering complex fire protection projects from concept through to completion.
- Managing your own project programmes, budgets and design deliverables.
- Coordinating architects and multidisciplinary consultant teams.
- Participating in client meetings and design workshops.
- Reviewing shop drawings, responding to RFIs and supporting projects during construction.
- Balancing technical excellence with project timeframes, budgets and client expectations.
- Mentoring junior designers as your experience continues to grow.

What we're looking for
- A Fire Protection Designer or Fire Protection Engineer with approximately 5+ years' industry experience.
- Previous experience within a fire consulting or fire contracting environment.
- Experience designing wet fire systems including sprinklers, hydrants and hose reels.
- Strong knowledge of Australian Standards and relevant compliance requirements.
- The ability to independently manage project deliverables, programmes and budgets.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- A genuine passion for technical excellence and continual professional development.
