About the Opportunity

Join Australia's largest health system through the (NSWHDP) and gain diverse clinical experience across regional, rural, and remote health settings throughout NSW.

We are seeking Registered Nurses with at least one year full time equivalent post registration experience in any of the following specialties:

General Medical

General Surgical

Emergency Department

Justice Health

Community

Mental Health

Intensive Care Unit (ICU)

Dialysis

and subspecialties.

Working on deployments ranging from 2 to 13 weeks, you will provide person-centred care, support short-term workforce needs, and enjoy the flexibility to work across a variety of healthcare settings while expanding your skills and experience. Rotating rosters, including night duty apply while on deployment.

Essential Requirements:

Current Registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (Ahpra) as a Registered Nurse.

Current drivers' licence with capacity and willingness to travel to NSW Health business and service locations throughout NSW which will include overnight stays in regional / remote areas. These deployments will make up the majority of your time in the position.

Provide an example of a recent clinical situation involving patient deterioration within your specialty that highlights your experience providing nursing care within a multidisciplinary team.

In your response, describe your role, the multidisciplinary team approach, the challenges encountered and the outcome for the patient.

Detail your ability to supervise, delegate, and negotiate with others to deliver quality nursing care with a willingness to show leadership and embrace change in the coordination and delivery of care.
