Position:
We are working closely with a large regional health provider seeking a Consultant Gastroenterologist to contribute to a growing and well-supported service. This role offers a balance of inpatient and outpatient care, endoscopy lists, and involvement in service development.
You’ll join an established physician group with access to modern endoscopy suites and increasing demand across hepatology, IBD management, and general gastroenterology. There is scope to develop subspecialty interests and contribute to teaching, quality improvement, and outreach services across the wider region.

Location:
Set in a thriving coastal city in Far North Queensland, with a population of approximately 170,000 across the region.

- Accredited for physician training (RACP) and strong teaching culture
- Modern endoscopy units with high procedural volumes
- Established outreach and telehealth programs supporting rural communities

Requirements:
To qualify you must meet one of the following:

- Hold or be eligible for Specialist Registration with AHPRA
- Hold or soon to hold Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP)
- All IMG's who are ready to submit their specialist assessment OR have already been assessed and found to be partially or substantially comparable
- Onshore with 12 months recent experience
