We are working closely with a well-supported mental health service in the Top End seeking a full-time Psychiatry Registrar to join a multidisciplinary team delivering comprehensive inpatient and community care. This role offers broad clinical exposure across adult psychiatry with opportunities to develop skills in acute, rural, and cross-cultural settings.

Hospital
This is a major regional referral centre with approximately 350+ beds, supporting a wide catchment across northern Australia. The mental health service manages a high volume of presentations annually, including acute inpatient, emergency, and community-based care. The facility is accredited for relevant specialist training pathways, offering structured supervision and education aligned with RANZCP requirements.
Requirements
To apply you must either be:
- Hold or be eligible for registration with AHPRA
- Possess at least 12 months recent experience in Psychiatry
- Enrolled in or eligible for the RANZCP training program
- IMG’s eligible via the Competent Authority Pathway (UK, Ireland, Canada, USA, NZ)
- IMG’s with a college interview date
- IMG’s assessed by RANZCP and found to be partially or substantially comparable
