About the Role
If successful You will be responsible for maintaining Southcare's quality, compliance and risk framework across the organisation, supporting accreditation and compliance with applicable Aged Care Quality Standards, and providing specialist knowledge and advice on risk governance.
Driving a culture of quality, safety and continuous improvement across our organsiation, you will lead Southcare's quality, risk, compliance and continuous improvement systems, providing expert advice on Aged Care Quality Standards and regulatory requirements. Coordinating audits, policy reviews, risk management and accreditation activities and preparing quality and risk reporting for management and governance committees.
You will be responsible for developing, maintaining and actioning the internal and external Quality audit plan in MOA. Planning and leading quality audits both internal and external to the organisation using formal audit processes.
You will provide monthly reporting to the Quality Committee on internal audit plan status and outcomes. You will also provide training to new and existing staff on the Quality Management and Risk Management systems as required.
You will manage the continuous improvement plan (MOA) by implementing and supporting continuous quality initiatives across the organsation. Promoting a culture by coordinating and supporting quality initiatives in practicing ongoing quality improvement.

To be successful in this role you will bring;
- Qualifications and/or relevant experience in risk, compliance and auditing.
- Experience coordinating accreditation processes including associated audits and preparation of relevant documentation.
- Demonstrated experience designing, developing, evaluating and implementing a quality, risk and compliance system in an aged/health care setting or similar.
- Experience implementing organisational-wide change management strategies to support new quality and risk processes and initiatives.
- High level of interpersonal and communication skills, including working successful across multidisciplinary teams and with diverse communities.
Ability to research and prepare reports and deliver presentations to multiple audiences.
- Well-developed level of IT skills including an understanding of document management systems, databases and data analysis.
- Have a hands-on approach to problem solving and strategic thinking capabilities.
- Be team focused with an ability to encourage and motivate others to elicit cooperation.
- Demonstrated understanding of person-centered care and a willingness to work within Southcare’s Purpose & Values.
