What is the role?
The Contracts Technical Administrator is responsible for review and coordination of the technical aspects of the tendering process for capital equipment sales, including contract negotiations. The Contracts Technical Administrator will work with key stakeholders, both internal and external throughout capital sales projects to review technical documentation and requests from Customers, including facilitating technical inspections at RME’s in-house facilities, during the manufacturing process, as required.
The primary aim of the role is to enable RME to satisfy individual Customers’ technical needs whilst ensuring that RME can deliver what is promised contractually. Over time, the Contracts Technical Administrator will be expected to take ownership of technical Project Management responsibilities for projects as required.
It is imperative that the Contracts Technical Administrator possesses well-developed negotiation skills, to enable a good balance between RME’s preferred position and our ability to fulfil Customer needs. Additionally, a key aspect of the role is to review and understand legislative updates to country-specific international standards and certification requirements for any applicable scope of work.
The Contracts Technical Administrator is an key part of the broader Contracts and Projects team contributing to RME’s success in delivering Mill Relining Systems to our global Customers.

6. Sound technical writing skills, with the ability to improve technical documentation and procedures;
7. Experience understanding and negotiating technical specification requirements with potential and existing Customers;
8. Experience and some familiarity with legal contracts;
9. Understanding of codes and standards for mechanical and electrical equipment design parameters;
10. Sound general engineering or technical background with good mechanical and electrical aptitude and experience, or the ability to develop the skills required;
The ideal candidate may also possess:
1. Certificate or Qualification in Engineering or technical field
