The opportunity

The Maintenance Planner is responsible for scheduling, planning, and coordinating all maintenance activities to optimise resources, equipment reliability, and plant availability.

Works closely with Maintenance Supervisor and Manager to deliver preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs.

- Develop and maintain short, medium, and long-term maintenance schedules.
- Prioritise work orders and allocate labour and resources effectively.
- Support shutdown planning and delivery of capital maintenance programs.
- Administer the CMMS, including work orders, preventive maintenance programs, asset data, and job plans.
- Maintain accurate records, update job plans, and ensure high data integrity.
- Generate reports and analyse KPIs to drive performance improvement.
- Coordinate weekly planning meetings with Maintenance Supervisor and Production teams.
- Ensure parts, materials, tools, permits, and access are available for scheduled work.
- Coordinate and manage regular contractors for routine servicing and compliance-based maintenance.
- Support urgent breakdown response and schedule adjustments.
- Recommend workflow, planning, and scheduling improvements.
- Standardise job plans for repetitive and critical maintenance tasks.
- Monitor work order completion,



backlog, and schedule compliance.
- Ensure all planning activities comply with WHS and food safety standards.
- Include JSA/SWMS in work plans and ensure safe work practices are embedded.

Essential Requirements:

- Trade qualification or engineering background (mechanical/electrical)
- Experience in maintenance planning and scheduling
- CMMS experience
- Strong organisational, analytical, and communication skills

Desirable Skills

- Meat processing experience
- Experience with CMMS
