As Chef de Partie, you will be responsible for managing an allocated kitchen section and ensuring consistently high standards of food preparation, cooking and presentation.
Key responsibilities
- Manage and operate your allocated kitchen section efficiently
- Complete daily mise en place and food preparation
- Prepare, cook and present dishes to a consistently high standard
- Maintain food safety, hygiene and HACCP standards
- Monitor section stock levels and minimise food waste
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment
- Assist with coordinating and guiding junior kitchen staff
- Work effectively as part of a busy kitchen team
About you
- Relevant commercial cookery qualifications or equivalent practical experience
- Previous Chef de Partie experience, or suitable experience as a Commis Chef/Cook
- The ability to confidently manage a busy kitchen section
- Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene and HACCP procedures
- Excellent attention to detail and food-quality standards
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- A positive, reliable and professional approach
