The Legal Operations Manager is responsible for enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the firm's business functions and optimising performance through process improvement and technology implementation. Reporting to the Co-CEO, you'll lead strategic initiatives that enhance operational excellence and lead the implementation of the latest innovations in technology. This role directly engages with the Co-CEOs in overall operational management of the business. The role is hands on and requires a willingness to take responsibility for whatever is required to drive efficiency within the business.
Key responsibilities
- Implement AI legal tools within the business, such as Protégé from LexisNexis to facilitate firm wide adoption of best practices and to fully exploit AI tools to generate time efficiency and increase quality of legal work
- Optimise WorkFlow and project management processes to support the efficient running of matters within the Firm including optimisation of tools such as Monday.com Workflow
- Support continuous improvement loop of feedback and implementation and training on AI legal tools and project management systems including training staff on the use of Monday.com WorkFlow
- Generate and maintain reports used by management to gain firm operational insights
- Oversee and implement best practices policies and procedures relating to the operational running of the business
- Manage and oversee 3rd party IT service and document management system providers to the business
About you
- Familiar with implementation and adoption of AI tools for law firms, for example Protégé by LexisNexis
- Familiar with workflow optimisation tools used by law firms such as Monday.com
- Familiar with document management tools used by law firms, such as Affinity
- Familiar with the IT infrastructure typically used to support the operations of a law firm
- Solid project management experience with proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and manage projects
- Excellent communication, collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills
- Strategic thinking and data-driven decision-making
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, project management, technology, law or a related field; or equivalent experience
- Experience working with lawyers and other professional service providers an advantage
- Experience developing teams preferred
