We are currently seeking an HSEQ Officer to join our team and support our ongoing commitment to health, safety, environmental and quality management across our business and construction projects.
About the Position
This is a flexible opportunity, with full-time hours available, or for the right candidate, permanent part-time hours of approximately 25–30 hours per week.
Previous experience in an HSEQ role within the construction industry is preferred; however, we are also open to applicants who have the right attitude, skills and willingness to learn. Training and support can be provided to the successful candidate.
Salary will be negotiated based on experience and qualifications.
Key Duties
- Maintain and implement requirements in accordance with our Quality Management System (ISO 9001:2015), Environmental Management System (ISO 14001:2015) and Occupational Health & Safety Management System (ISO 45001:2018).
- Ensure company and project documentation meets relevant legislative, contractual and management-system requirements.
- Work closely with construction project teams to support and monitor HSEQ compliance across project sites.
- Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers and external consultants regarding HSEQ requirements and system compliance.
- Conduct site inspections, audits and compliance reviews as required.
- Assist with the ongoing improvement and implementation of HSEQ processes, systems and documentation.
- Undertake other duties as required by S.J. Weir (Ballarat) Pty Ltd.
