Are you an experienced truck driver, transport professional, or mechanically minded heavy vehicle operator looking to take the next step in your career?

IVECO is growing, and we're looking for a hands-on Workshop Leading Hand & Quality Controller to join our busy Wacol Service Centre. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with a strong understanding of trucks and heavy vehicles who enjoys problem-solving, quality control, road testing, and leading by example.

About the role:

Working closely with the Workshop Foreman and Service Management team, you will play a key role in ensuring repairs are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.

This is a varied position combining:

- Road testing and quality inspections

- Workshop coordination and job allocation

- Fault diagnosis and troubleshooting

- Supporting technicians and apprentices

- Liaising with Service Advisors and customers

- Driving workshop productivity and efficiency

- Promoting a strong safety culture

Role responsibilities:

- Road test trucks and identify faults or quality concerns

- Conduct final quality inspections before vehicle handover

- Support daily workshop workflow and technician productivity

- Ensure repair orders and workshop documentation are completed accurately

- Assist with technical diagnostics and problem-solving

- Maintain high standards of workshop safety and housekeeping

- Work closely with Service Advisors to deliver an outstanding customer experience

- Lead by example and provide guidance to the workshop team

Candidate requirements:





- HR Licence (essential)

- Previous experience driving heavy vehicles or working in the transport industry

- Strong understanding of truck operation and vehicle systems

- Mechanical aptitude and the ability to identify defects or workmanship issues

- Well-organised with basic computer skills

- Strong communication skills

- Ability to work closely with a team and support others

- High attention to detail and commitment to quality

- Previous workshop, fleet, transport, dealership or heavy vehicle experience highly regarded
