About the role

We are seeking motivated Health Care Workers to join our dedicated team at Lakeside Living Edenhope. This role involves delivering day-to-day care for residents according to their care plan and in collaboration with the resident and other members of the health care team.

As a Health Care Worker, you will play a vital role in meeting the physical, emotional and social needs of our residents. Under the supervision of the Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse you will provide resident-focused, holistic care, adhering to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Deliver high-quality, person-centred care that supports residents' physical, emotional, and social wellbeing.
- Assist residents with daily living activities while promoting dignity, independence, and choice.
- Work under the guidance of Registered and Enrolled Nurses to provide safe and effective care.
- Build positive relationships with residents, families, and team members to create a supportive community environment.
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with care standards, policies, and procedures.
- Contribute to a team-oriented team culture and actively participate in ongoing learning and professional development.

Skills and Experience

- Possess a Certificate III in Individual Support or Certificate IV in Ageing Support or equivalent preferred but not essential.
- Minimum of 12 months experience working in a care giving role in a residential aged care service.
- Demonstrate the ability to provide direct consumer care that meets the individual needs of the resident and relatives.




- Demonstrate an ability to participate in the development and review of Resident Care Plans.
- Computer skills: intermediate computer skills with demonstrated ability to use computer software particularly Microsoft Office Suite
- Have the physical ability to bend, twist, crouch, squat, kneel, stand, walk, reach above shoulder height, lift, push/pull.
- Rotating across a 24/7 roster (AM, PM &night; shifts)
- Successful attainment of HLTHPS006 - Assist clients with medication
- Follow Basic Food Safety Practices (HLTFSE001).
- Adaptability, initiating action, collaboration, managing work (including time management), work standards and stress tolerance.
- Demonstrated person-centred care and respectful approach to patients, visitors and staff.
