About the role: As Financial Controller (Network), you'll work closely with senior leaders across the business, helping shape financial strategy, support major investment decisions and drive operational performance. You'll also have the opportunity to contribute to significant business transformation programs, including Aurizon's enterprise ERP/SAP implementation, while leading a respected and high performing finance team.

In this role, you will:

- Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and investment activities, ensuring commercial risks and opportunities are understood and effectively managed.
- Partner with senior leaders across Aurizon's Network Business, providing trusted financial and commercial advice that supports strategic decision-making and business performance.
- Deliver quality financial, operational and regulatory reporting, providing meaningful insights that support informed business decisions.
- Support long-term business outcomes through financial modelling, business case development, investment analysis and asset planning.
- Play an important role in major transformation initiatives, including Aurizon's enterprise ERP/SAP program, helping ensure successful business and financial outcomes

About you: You are a commercially minded finance leader who builds strong relationships and partners effectively with stakeholders at all levels. You combine strategic thinking with sound financial judgement and are comfortable influencing decisions,



challenging constructively and driving accountability.

You are motivated by continuous improvement and enjoy identifying opportunities to enhance processes, systems and reporting to deliver better business outcomes. With a CPA or CA qualification and proven leadership experience within a large, complex organisation, you bring strong financial and commercial acumen, along with the ability to lead teams through change and transformation.

- Tertiary qualification in Finance, Accounting or a related discipline.
- CPA or CA qualified.
- Proven experience leading finance teams within a large, complex organisation.
- Strong finance systems capability, including ERP ownership, transformation or implementation experience, supported by reporting and business intelligence expertise.
- Advanced capability across budgeting, forecasting, financial modelling, business case development, investment analysis and commercial decision support.
- A commercially minded leader with strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, who can drive strategic outcomes and continuous improvement.
