Who You Are
- Reliable. You turn up on time. The team and our clients can count on you to be where you say you'll be and to see the job through.
- Proud of your work. Neat cable runs, tidy terminations, clean finishes. You do it properly the first time, even the parts nobody sees. Work is done to the relevant codes, standards and company procedures, not near enough.
- Self-motivated.
You don't need someone standing over your shoulder. You see what needs doing and get stuck in.
- A team player. Just as comfortable running a job on your own as working in with a crew on bigger sites. You pull your weight and back your mates.
- Keen to learn. Whether you're an apprentice building your trade or an experienced sparky or cabler new to security, you're switched on and want to get across new systems and tech.
- A problem solver. Sites never go 100% to plan. You think on your feet, find a way through, and ask the right questions instead of guessing.
- Happy to pass it on. As you build experience you'll become a technical resource for the crew, showing apprentices and junior techs the right way to do things on site.
- Professional and customer-focused. Easy to deal with, on and off the tools. Clients, builders and other trades remember you for the right reasons, and you represent AMR well wherever you are.
- Trustworthy. We work on government, commercial and critical infrastructure sites. Client and company information stays confidential, full stop.
- Safety-minded. You work safe, use the right PPE, keep your area tidy and look out for the people around you. Non-negotiable on the sites we work on.
- Hungry to get ahead. You're not after just another job. You want somewhere your effort gets noticed, rewarded and turned into real progression.
The Role
Join our install team working on commercial, government and critical infrastructure sites alongside skilled techs
You'll be trusted to run your own work: keeping your vehicle stocked and tools in order,
completing job cards, service records and timesheets accurately, working to WHS standards and PPE requirements, and leaving client premises tidy with minimal disruption. Quality workmanship is what our reputation is built on, and we back the techs who deliver it.
As you get across the systems, there's room to step up. Our senior techs mentor apprentices and juniors on site, assist with planning and scheduling projects, liaise with clients, builders and contractors, supervise site progress against program and specification, run toolbox talks, stage and pre-configure equipment before deployment, and handle commissioning and handover documentation including ITPs, shop drawings and compliance paperwork. There's also scope to get involved in quoting and tendering if that's where your interest lies.
How far and how fast you go is up to you.
