Box Hill Senior Secondary College (BHSSC) is seeking a part-time VET Plumbing Teacher/Instructor to deliver Certificate II in Plumbing during school terms in 2027.

The preferred teaching days are Wednesday and Thursday.

The course is delivered in partnership with an auspicing Registered Training Organisation (RTO).

Essential Requirements

Applicants must have:

• A relevant Plumbing Licence

• A valid Working with Children Check

Highly Desirable

• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE) or a higher relevant qualification*

• VIT registration / Permission to Teach, or willingness to obtain*

• Protected Use of Machinery for Technology Teaching training, or willingness to undertake the required training. (DE requirement) *

* The College can assist the successful applicant in obtaining relevant teaching/training requirements where applicable.

Given the specialist nature of this position, BHSSC welcomes applications from experienced plumbing professionals with strong industry skills and knowledge.

The College may also consider employing a paraprofessional with appropriate industry skills and experience, where suitable for the position.
