What you'll be doing
Practicing and promoting safe, efficient and effective nursing care that reflects current standards of nursing practices and current Mid North Coast Local Health District policies and procedures.
MNC Virtual Care (MNCVC) is a district-wide program designed to ease hospital burden and improve patient outcomes by supporting hospital prevention strategies, including Early Supported Discharge, Urgent Care service delivery, Emergency Department (ED) avoidance, Central Intake, and the Aged Care Outreach Service (ACOS).
Operating within this hybrid mode of care integrating virtual consultations with face to face interventions. The purpose of this position is to deliver timely, appropriate, and patient centred nursing care to individuals who can be safely managed outside the hospital setting.
About You
You present yourself as a capable and adaptable nursing professional who brings strong clinical judgement, a broad skill set and a commitment to delivering safe, evidence‑based care across both virtual and face‑to‑face environments. Your current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia reflects your adherence to professional standards and your readiness to practise within a contemporary and evolving healthcare landscape.
You demonstrate the clinical competence required to work confidently within hybrid care models, applying your knowledge and skills to support patients through virtual platforms as well as in‑person interactions. Your ability to perform comprehensive assessments using critical thinking is evident in the way you prioritise early intervention, triage and escalation across urgent care, community and aged care settings.
You recognise clinical deterioration promptly and respond with the level of independence and assurance expected in dynamic care environments.
Your communication skills are consistently strong, enabling you to engage effectively with diverse teams, patients, families and stakeholders. You write clearly, speak with purpose and maintain professional interpersonal interactions that support safe and coordinated care. You show proficiency—and a willingness to further develop proficiency—in digital health technologies and virtual care platforms, understanding their importance in modern service delivery.
You are committed to person‑centred care, patient safety and clinical excellence. You contribute actively to quality improvement and collaborate with colleagues to achieve positive health outcomes across the continuum of care. Your practice reflects reliability, accountability and a genuine focus on delivering care that is both compassionate and aligned with best practice.
You work flexibly within a seven‑day rotating roster, including weekends and public holidays, supporting timely and responsive care in both virtual and face‑to‑face formats. Your current NSW driver’s licence and willingness to travel for work further demonstrate your readiness to meet service needs wherever they arise.
