QMW are currently looking for a Spray-Painting Apprentice to join the team with an ASAP start date.

About you:

We are looking for areliable and highly motivated apprentice with a genuine interest in pursuing a Spray-paintingapprenticeship (AUR32420Certificate III in Automotive Refinishing Technology) ,that can demonstrate the following:

- A genuineinterest inspray painting and body prep with a robust desire to completea spray-paintingapprenticeship.
- A strong quality focus with a ‘Right 1st Time’ and Continuous Improvement mindset.
- Ability to adapt in different working environments with a passion for learning the trade.
- Maintain a safe, clean and organised work environment and adhere to all safety protocols and regulations.
- Work well in a Team environment, independently and X-functionally.
- A positive ‘can do’ professional and friendly attitude with a strong work ethic.
- A valid and current driver’s licencewith your own transport would be an advantage.

Duties will include:

- Completing spray painting to various types of machinery and equipment includingcabins and components.
- Completing preparations for body fillers and primers including setting up vehicles and components, isolating equipment, masking up equipment / components etc.
- Carrying out minor body repairs and rectifying defects.
- Completing refurbishment repairs on machinery/equipment and cabins.
- Sandblasting preparation on various parts and components.
- Undertaking quality checks on all items ensuring compliance.
- Undertake additional duties and responsibilities as required from time to time, outside of the core scope of the role.
