If so, we have an exciting opportunity just for you! We’re seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Costume Character Performer at SEA LIFE Melbourne, from Wednesday 16 September – Sunday 8 November, 2026. To be considered, you must be available to work across all VIC school holidays and public holidays, along with some availability outside this period including weekdays and weekends.

About the role

As a Costume Character/Performer, you will bring the attraction’s characters to life through engaging performances that enhance guest experiences. You will perform in costume at designated locations, interact with guests, and participate in scheduled entertainment offerings, ensuring an immersive and memorable experience for visitors of all ages.

Key Accountabilities

- Perform in costume as a designated character, adhering to brand guidelines and performance standards.
- Engage with guests in an enthusiastic and friendly manner, enhancing their experience through interactions and participating in meet – and -greet sessions. Ensure costumes and props are maintained in excellent condition, reporting any damage or concerns promptly.
- Follow all health and safety protocols, including costume maintenance, hydration breaks, and safe movement practices.
- Adhere to the attractions values and guest service expectations.

About you

Qualifications and Requirements

- Previous experience in performance, entertainment, or customer engagement roles preferred.
- Comfortable wearing a full-body costume,



with the ability to maintain energy and enthusiasm for extended periods.
- Physically fit to meet role demands, including wearing heavy costumes and standing for extended periods.
- Maximum height of 161cm
- Maximum shoe size 6 - 7
- Ability to lift and carry up to 11kg
- Applicants must hold or have the ability to obtain a valid Working With Children Check.
