As an Office Junior / Legal Secretary Trainee, you will work closely with solicitors and support staff, providing administrative assistance while gaining practical experience across a range of legal support functions. Key responsibilities
- Relief reception and front office duties
- General office administration and support
- Deliveries and errands
- Filing, scanning, data entry and document management
- Assisting with the preparation of correspondence and legal documents
- Managing incoming calls and client enquiries
- Scheduling appointments and maintaining calendars
- Supporting solicitors with file management
- Learning and applying legal terminology, procedures and office systems
- Assisting the secretarial team as required
About you
- A genuine interest in the legal profession
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- High attention to detail and a proactive approach
- Sound computer skills,
particularly in Microsoft Word and the Microsoft Office suite
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
- A willingness to learn and develop within a team workplace
- A strong commitment to teamwork and professionalism
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Any secretarial, legal or clerical studies will be highly regarded but are not essential
- On-the-job training and practical legal administration experience
