My Pet Hub is looking for a passionate, reliable and enthusiastic Full-Time Animal Attendant to join our team across our Redlynch and Balaclava locations.

About the Role

As an Animal Attendant, you will be responsible for the day-to-day care and wellbeing of the animals in our facility. This is a hands-on role that involves plenty of interaction with dogs and other pets, as well as cleaning, maintaining facilities and working closely with the rest of the team.

Your duties will include:

- Providing exceptional care, attention and supervision to animals
- Monitoring animal behaviour and wellbeing throughout the day
- Feeding and providing fresh water according to individual requirements
- Exercising, playing with and enriching animals in our care
- Cleaning kennels, play areas and other animal facilities
- Maintaining high standards of hygiene and cleanliness
- Following animal care, safety and operational procedures
- Recognising and reporting any changes in an animal's behaviour or condition
- Working as part of a supportive and energetic team
- Helping create a positive experience for both pets and their owners

- Has a genuine passion and love for animals
- Is reliable, punctual and has a robust work ethic
- Is physically fit and comfortable working on their feet
- Isn't afraid of getting dirty and enjoys hands-on work
- Has excellent attention to detail and takes pride in their work
- Is confident working independently as well as part of a team
- Has good communication and customer service skills
- Is calm, patient and confident around animals
- Can follow instructions and workplace procedures
- Is willing to learn and develop their animal-handling skills
- Has a positive, can-do attitude

Previous experience working with animals is highly regarded, however, the right attitude, willingness to learn and genuine love for animals are just as important.
