OnSite Recruitment is seeking a Trade Counter Sales representative to join their Client based in Dandenong South. This is a casual position, Monday to Friday 7am-3pm. You will be the face of their trade counter, providing expert product knowledge and support to trade professionals and customers who rely on them for quality products and advice. This role is essential to maintaining customer satisfaction and driving sales within their retail operations.

Key responsibilities

- Greet customers with professionalism and enthusiasm, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere at the trade counter
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using point-of-sale systems
- Provide expert product knowledge and recommendations to customers based on their specific requirements
- Assist customers in locating products and navigating the trade counter offerings
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve concerns promptly and professionally
- Maintain a clean, organised and well-stocked trade counter environment
- Support stock management activities and assist with inventory checks as required




- Build positive relationships with regular customers to encourage repeat business
- Meet daily sales targets and contribute to overall team performance
- Adhere to health and safety protocols and company policies at all times

What we're looking for

- Previous experience in a retail or trade counter environment is highly desirable
- Excellent customer service skills with a genuine passion for helping customers
- Solid communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, punctual and professional approach to work
- Proficiency with electronic point-of-sale systems
- Basic numeracy skills for handling transactions and stock counts
- Physical capability to lift and handle products safely
- Flexibility to work casual hours as required by business needs
- A willingness to learn about products and industry standards
- A Current Forklift Licence Highly Advantageous
