We are currently seeking an experienced Light Plant / Mower Mechanic to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled mechanic looking for a hands-on role working with a variety of small plant, machinery and equipment.

About the Role

As a Light Plant / Mower Mechanic, you will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance, repairs and preparation of a range of light plant and mowing equipment. You will play an significant role in ensuring machinery is safe, reliable and ready for use.

Key Responsibilities

- Diagnose, service and repair light plant and mowing equipment
- Carry out scheduled preventative maintenance
- Perform mechanical repairs and fault finding
- Service small engines, mowers and associated equipment
- Inspect equipment and identify mechanical issues
- Prepare machinery for hire and ensure it is safe and operational
- Maintain accurate service and repair records
- Keep the workshop and work areas clean, organised and safe
- Assist with general mechanical duties as required

About You

We are looking for someone who has:

- Previous experience as a small engine, mower,



plant or mechanical technician
- Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
- Experience working with petrol and diesel engines
- A practical, hands‑on approach to problem solving
- Good attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- A strong focus on workplace health and safety
- A current driver's licence

A relevant mechanical trade qualification will be highly regarded, however candidates with strong practical experience are encouraged to apply.
