Cyber Security Specialists - GRC - Risk Assessments - Fed Govt!

Key Federal Government agency is seeking multiple Cyber Security Specialists to support a major cyber security program contributing to a large-scale, high-impact 3-year modernisation program . The successful Cyber Security Specialists will be engaged on an initial 12-month contract, with extension options , and adaptable hybrid work arrangements based in Canberra.

The successful Cyber Security Specialist will be responsible for, but not limited to:

- Conducting comprehensive risk assessments across IT systems, applications, and third-party vendors.
- Evaluating and monitoring compliance withPSPF, ISM, Essential Eight, and international frameworks such asISO 27001andNIST.
- Developing and maintaining cybersecurity policies, standards, and procedures to strengthen governance and compliance.
- Supporting audits and certification processes, includingIRAP assessments,



and providing reports with actionable recommendations to senior stakeholders.

The successful Cyber Security Specialist will have experience in the following:

- Demonstrated experience preparing ICT system authorisation documentation such asSRMPs, SSPs, and SOPs.
- Strong technical experience acrosssystem administration, software development, or cloud computing.
- In-depth knowledge ofAustralian Government cyber security standards, includingPSPFandISM.
- Familiarity withAWS, Azure, Kubernetes, or Identity & Access Management.
