Northern Health are seeking applications from motivated and suitably experienced Physiotherapist to join the Physiotherapy and Community Therapy Services team.

Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourne’s rapidly growing outer north.

Services are provided through our six main campuses:

Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn and Mernda Community Hospitals and Kilmore District Hospital. In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park, Mernda and Coburg.

About the Role:





The Grade 2 physiotherapist will have a leading role in ensuring excellence in client care and education of staff and students in the physiotherapy stream.The role encompasses the delivery of Physiotherapy services in the community therapy services setting and involvement in team and service development.This opportunity will suit an experienced physiotherapist with sound clinical skills and a strong commitment to quality patient care.

The caseload for this position consists of treating clients referred for centred based and home based therapy with a range of neurological and general conditions using a multidisciplinary approach.Education and supervision of physiotherapy students and junior staff is an integral part of this role.This position is part of a rotation that rotates eight (8) monthly across different service streams within the Community Therapy Service at Northern Health Bundoora.

This position is a full time (80 hours per fortnight with an accrued day off) permanent position.

To be successful in this role you will have:

- A background which includessignificant experienceresulting inhigh levelof clinical skill in General and Neurological Physiotherapy
- Experience managing patients in the community (centre based and home based, individual therapy and group therapy)
- Experience and/or interest in the management and education of undergraduate physiotherapy students and junior staff




- Demonstrated highly developed interpersonal skills including being able to consult and collaborate with other health professionals to provide integrated care.
- Well developed organisational and time management skills
- Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills
- Commitment to health promotion and health independence
- Demonstrated leadership skills and initiative in developing and promoting clinical care.
