At Slam Dunk Occupational Therapy, we believe therapy should be meaningful, goal-focused and genuinely fun.
We are a growing paediatric practice supporting children and families across the Central Coast. With families already waiting for support, we are looking for a warm, motivated and personable Occupational Therapist to join our small team.
You will work directly with our co-founder and Head of OT, Izabela, who is certified in Sensory Integration, giving you the prospect to learn from her expertise in this area. You’ll receive support tailored to your experience and have the opportunity to develop your clinical skills while growing alongside the practice.
Why you will love this role
- Four client-facing days: Deliver therapy Monday to Thursday, with only two flexible paid administration hours completed remotely on Friday.
- Real access to clinical leadership: Work directly with Izabela, an experienced and approachable Occupational Therapist who is committed to supporting both clinicians and families.
- Less non-clinical administration: We manage client intake, bookings, scheduling, invoicing, payments and general practice administration.
- Support matched to your experience: Gradual caseload build based on your experience.
- Professional Supervision
- $2,000 annual professional development allowance
- Salary of $80,000–$110,000 plus superannuation, based on experience
- Work laptop, therapy resources and equipment provided
- Mobile phone plan covered up to $60 per month
- Kilometre reimbursement for approved work-related travel
- The opportunity to be part of a small, growing practice where your ideas and contribution will be noticed
About the role
You will support children and young people aged 0–18 through a varied mix of:
- Clinic-based therapy
- School and daycare visits
- Home and community sessions
- Collaboration with parents, carers, teachers and other professionals
- Therapy planning and clinical documentation
- School-holiday sessions and programs
You will work from a shared clinic space approximately one to two days per week. The remainder of your clinical work will be completed in the community across our current service area, which extends approximately from Woy Woy to Tuggerah.
Support tailored to you
We welcome applications from:
- New-graduate Occupational Therapists
- Early-career Occupational Therapists
- Experienced paediatric Occupational Therapists
- Occupational Therapists looking to transition into paediatrics
Previous paediatric experience is valuable, but it is not essential.
About you
You will be a strong fit for our team if you are:
- Warm, approachable and able to build trust with children and families
- Passionate about helping children achieve meaningful goals
- Comfortable making therapy engaging and fun
- Reliable, organised and accountable
- A strong communicator with families, schools and other professionals
- Open to feedback, supervision and continued learning
- Able to work independently once appropriately supported
Most importantly, you will care about clinical quality while understanding that therapy works best when children feel supported, encouraged and engaged.
You will need:
- A recognised Occupational Therapy qualification
- Current AHPRA registration
- Current Occupational Therapy Australia membership
- Current Working With Children Check
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- A valid driver’s licence
- Access to a reliable and appropriately insured vehicle
- The ability to travel across the Central Coast service area
