A major university in Sydney is seeking a Manager Apps Service (Finance) for an urgent 3 month contract to cover paternity leave.
The manager Application Services (Finance) manages a team of functional and technical specialists responsible for the business support and operational management of the University's finance applications, platforms and associated technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Keep the seven-person team operating effectively
- Maintain TechnologyOne Financials and connected platforms
- Manage any critical incidents or service problems
- Protect important finance processing dates
- Manage vendors and outstanding escalations
- Oversee scheduled releases and changes
- Handle senior Finance and Technology stakeholders
- Maintain reporting and governance
- Leave the service in a stable position for the returning manager
- Lead the service delivery of applications to provide productive and effective support for the University's operational requirements and all aspects of technology consultancy, requirements analysis, design, build and configuration,
- Test, change management and training, installation and release management, monitoring, tuning, and maintenance of associated software applications, platforms, and technologies.
- Implement and drive ongoing analysis and review of IT services in support of the University's business needs to identify and address opportunities for value optimisation, improvement,
- Implement the use of agreed processes, standards, methods and tools to support efficiency, effectiveness,
- Build and maintain supplier relationships, establish service level agreements, and manage supplier

Key Skills / Experience:
- Experience leading finance support functions and tech support teams
- Experience running a team that manage an ERP / suite of financial applications - desirable
- IT service management experience
- Understanding of cloud based platforms
- Technology one financials desirable
