About the role
We are looking for a confident individual to join our team in Melbourne as an Internal Sales Engineer, based out of our Burwood East office.
The role is key customer interface for our business, and as such is well supported by internal & external sales colleagues, (whom have significant industry experience) as well as via our HR Connect on-line training & personal development platform.
Day to day activities are varied & interesting, with a realistic workload - which is shared as necessary during periods of peak demand.
Core elements of the role are;
Customer liaison via phone/email, and in person (occasional walk-in customers)
Translating customer needs into WIKA product offerings,
and preparing/submitting quotations to suit - often in conjunction with external sales colleagues
Sales order entry in relation to WIKA products & internal/external service work
Liaison with WIKA technicians, in relation to internal/external service activities
After sales support, typically around deliveries & shipping requirements
On-going product-based training to keep up to date with WIKA/agency products

Skills and experience
We would like to hear from individuals who have the following attributes;
Positive & confident personality, with a "can do" attitude - happy to work & contribute within a team environment
2-3 years' experience in a sales support or customer service role
Strong verbal communication skills, with the ability to discuss & interpret customer needs via phone/email, or in person
Basic problem solving experience & the capability to suggest solutions based on research of our WIKA product portfolio
Accuracy & attention to detail in relation to sales order entry activities & management of in-house service business
A diligent work ethic, with a focus on ensuring customer needs/timeframes are met
ERP system experience, (Microsoft Dynamics 365) with intermediate MS Office suite skills
A mechanical or electrical engineering qualification, or previous industrial sales experience would be highly regarded
