Rehabhire&sales; The Accountant will be responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting and financial functions of Rehab Hire & Sales. Key duties include maintaining financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, processing invoices and payments, performing bank and ledger reconciliations, preparing financial reports, monitoring cash flow, assisting with BAS, GST and taxation compliance, supporting payroll and superannuation processes, and assisting management with budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis.

The role will also ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with relevant Australian accounting and taxation requirements. Benefits 12% Super Task & responsibilities Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in accordance with Australian accounting standards and company policies. Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, including processing invoices, payments, receipts and customer accounts.

Perform bank, credit card and general ledger reconciliations and investigate discrepancies. Prepare and maintain monthly financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets and cash flow information.

Assist with the preparation and lodgement of BAS, GST and other taxation-related requirements.

Monitor revenue, expenses, outstanding invoices and cash flow to support effective financial management. Process and reconcile transactions relating to equipment sales and equipment hire activities. Maintain accurate records of customer and supplier transactions and follow up outstanding accounts where required.

Assist with payroll processing, superannuation and related payroll reconciliations. Assist management with budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis. Prepare financial information and reports for management decision-making.

Maintain the company's accounting systems, records and supporting documentation.



Assist with year-end financial accounts and liaise with external accountants, auditors and other professional advisers when required. Ensure accounting procedures comply with relevant Australian taxation, financial reporting and regulatory requirements.

Identify accounting discrepancies and provide recommendations to improve financial controls and processes. Provide general financial and accounting support to management and other departments.

Qualification & experience Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.

Minimum 1 year of relevant accounting experience. Solid knowledge of accounting principles and financial practices. Experience with accounting software such as Xero, MYOB or similar systems.

Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations and financial reporting. Knowledge of GST, BAS and payroll-related requirements. Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.

Excellent organisational and time-management skills. Ability to analyse financial information and identify discrepancies. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a growing business. Previous experience in a healthcare, equipment hire, retail, NDIS or service-based business will be highly regarded.
