Production Estimator – Soho Built (Mirrastone Group, Victoria’s Largest Builder)

Soho Built is expanding and establishing a new division focused on dual occupancy and small-scale residential construction. We’re looking for an experienced Estimator to join our Soho Built team in Port Melbourne.

Reporting directly to the Estimating Manager , this role is ideal for someone who enjoys ownership, variety, and long-term growth.

What You Will Be Doing

- Preparing detailed cost estimates, BOQs and pricing schedules
- Reviewing architectural/engineering drawings, specifications and tender documents
- Completing quantity take-offs and analysing labour, material, equipment and subcontractor costs
- Sourcing, evaluating and negotiating subcontractor and supplier quotes
- Identifying scope gaps, risks and constructability issues
- Recommending value‑engineering options to improve cost efficiency




- Ensuring all estimates comply with relevant codes, standards and project requirements
- Reviewing contractual conditions and tender documentation
- Liaising with senior management on BOQ progress and workflow
- Participating in project handover meetings
- Maintaining organised records, workflows and job status reporting

What You’ll Bring

- Experienced in residential estimating
- Highly accurate with robust analytical and numerical skills
- Confident interpreting technical drawings and specifications
- An effective communicator with strong negotiation ability
- Organised, deadline-driven and commercially aware
- Proficient in MS Office and estimating software
