ABOUT THE ROLE:

Byrne Motor Group, proudly part of the Tony White Group, is seeking an Experienced Senior Dealership Accountant to join our finance team. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you'll play a key role in the financial management of our multi-franchise dealerships, delivering accurate financial and manufacturer reporting while providing commercial insights that support business performance.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced dealership accountant to join one of Australia's largest and most respected automotive retail groups.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

- A tertiary qualification in Accounting, Commerce or a related discipline.
- Previous Motor Dealership Accounting experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Support the Financial Controller with the day-to-day financial management of the dealerships.
- Complete end-of-month processing through to Trial Balance, ensuring reporting deadlines are achieved.
- Prepare monthly financial statements, balance sheet reconciliations and management reports.
- Complete franchise and manufacturer financial reporting accurately and on time.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, cash flow reporting and financial analysis.
- Analyse dealership profitability and provide meaningful commercial insights to management.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies and manufacturer requirements.
- Maintain strong financial controls while identifying opportunities to improve systems and processes.
- Liaise with dealership management,



manufacturers, auditors and external stakeholders.
- Assist with year-end audit preparation, statutory reporting and provide guidance to finance and administration team members.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

- Experience completing end-of-month reporting through to Trial Balance.
- Experience preparing franchise and manufacturer financial reports.
- Strong analytical, reconciliation and problem-solving skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience using financial systems.
- Exceptional attention to detail with excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships.
- A proactive approach with the ability to work autonomously and drive continuous improvement.
