Registered Nurse - District Staff Health - Perm FT

The ideal candidate thrives in a diverse and fast-paced environment and is adaptable to changing priorities and service requirements. You will demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, taking pride in maintaining accurate records, documentation and compliance standards. With strong interpersonal and communication skills, you build positive relationships with staff, managers and external stakeholders, and use active listening to provide supportive, customer-focused services throughout occupational health, screening and immunisation processes. You are equally comfortable working independently and collaboratively within a supportive team, with proven ability to organise and prioritise competing demands. A proactive approach to problem solving, continuous improvement and the delivery of high-quality services is essential, along with a genuine interest in developing specialist knowledge in workforce health. This role will suit someone who is passionate about supporting the health, safety and wellbeing of healthcare workers and is willing to travel across SWSLHD facilities as required, with the flexibility to contribute to district-wide programs and seasonal vaccination initiatives.

Selection Criteria

Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and has completed specialist HESA-approved post-graduate training to provide immunisation services without direct medical authorisation.

Ability to assess, interpret and apply clinical information to support safe decision‑making,



compliance requirements and staff health outcomes.

Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with a diverse range of staff, stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams, including managing sensitive conversations in a professional and person‑centred manner.

Proven ability to effectively manage competing priorities, maintain accurate records and utilise clinical and administrative systems to support safe, efficient and compliant service delivery.

Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement, adaptability and contributing positively to service development, change initiatives and evolving models of care.

Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
