As part of our continued growth and expansion, G&M; Cosmetics is establishing a new manufacturing facility in Melbourne . We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Production Supervisor to join the Melbourne operation and support the establishment and ongoing operation of the new production facility.

About the role

The Production Supervisor will be responsible for coordinating day-to-day production activities, managing production employees and ensuring production targets are achieved safely, efficiently and in accordance with company quality standards. As this position will be based at the new Melbourne facility, the successful candidate will also play an important role in supporting the establishment of production processes, workforce coordination and operational procedures at the new site.

Key responsibilities

Plan and coordinate daily manpower requirements across production machinery and production lines.

Allocate employees to production lines, machinery and tasks based on daily operational requirements.

Arrange appropriate staffing coverage for leave and employee absences to ensure production targets are maintained.

Supervise and coordinate production employees to achieve daily and weekly production targets.





Monitor production output, workflow, efficiency and downtime, and take corrective action where required.

Support the establishment and implementation of production procedures and workflows at the recent Melbourne facility.

Work closely with Production, Quality, Warehouse, Maintenance and Management teams to resolve operational issues.

Monitor manufacturing processes and identify opportunities to improve productivity and efficiency.

Ensure products are manufactured in accordance with company specifications, procedures and quality requirements.

Assist with the implementation and monitoring of quality control procedures.

About you

Bachelor's degree or above, preferably in Manufacturing, Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Business Management or a related discipline.

3-5 years of relevant production or manufacturing experience, preferably within FMCG, cosmetics, pharmaceutical, food, chemical or a similar manufacturing environment.

Previous experience supervising or leading production employees.

Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production planning, quality control and production efficiency.

Experience coordinating manpower, production schedules and day-to-day manufacturing operations.

Strong problem-solving, decision-making and organisational skills.

Strong leadership and people-management capabilities.

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and manage changing operational priorities.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality and workplace safety.

Fluent written and spoken English and Chinese (Mandarin) is required, as the role will involve regular communication with both English- and Chinese-speaking stakeholders.
