To perform guarding duties in accordance with StateGuard Standing Orders, site-specific instructions, contractual requirements and quality procedures. You will help provide a safe, secure and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, staff and contractors across hospital sites located within Melbourne's inner CBD.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver a high standard of security and customer service to patients, staff, visitors and contractors
- Conduct static guarding, foot patrols and other security duties as directed
- Maintain a qualified, respectful and courteous approach at all times
- Support the achievement of site KPIs through reliable, responsive and high-quality service
- Ensure client security requirements and expectations are consistently met or exceeded
- Follow all site procedures, contractual obligations, policies and quality processes
- Work collaboratively with nursing staff, hospital management and StateGuard leadership
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic,
initiative and positive team attitude
About you
- Certificate II in Security Operations qualification
- Current First Aid certification
- Current Working with Children Check
- Willingness to meet vaccination and health-clearance requirements applicable to healthcare environments
- Minimum two years' experience in a comparable security role, specifically within a hospital or medical facility
- Demonstrated security guarding and crowd-management experience
- Current knowledge of Victorian legislation relevant to security officers
- Strong communication and customer-service skills
- Basic computer skills
- Physical fitness to conduct regular foot patrols
- Ability to remain calm, professional and respectful in challenging situations
