NECA is an Industrial Association representing the interests of the electrical and communications contracting industry across Australia. Primarily, our goal is tolift the standards of the Electrotechnology industry, provide a voice and lobby for the rights and interests of our members, while delivering critical information to ensure that our members remain in front of changes that may affect the Industry.
ABOUT THE ROLE
This role is primarily responsible for financial month end reporting, cashflow management and tax reporting. Other responsibilities include supporting the Group Financial Controller with business process improvements and systems upgrade and other finance related tasks.
This is a full time role, 38 hours per week and is based in Chullora NSW. This role offers two working from home days upon successful completion of training.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Preparation of Monthly and other periodic financial reports including variance reporting that are timely and accurate.
- Preparation of Annual Budget and forecasting
- Preparation of the Financial Performance Board papers
- Preparation and presentation of finances for financial audits
- Preparation of Year End Audit file
- Responsible for general ledger reconciliations
- Month end general ledger journals
- Month end Fixed Assets and Lease Liabilities
- Cashflow reporting
- BAS, GST, FBT and other tax obligations
- Provide support to the finance team
- Ensure reported results comply with Australian accounting principles and reporting standards.

- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Work cooperatively with others and model and promote team player behaviour
- Demonstrated skill in working as part of a team, fostering good client relations and working with people from diverse backgrounds
- Ability to deal with difficult clients
- Discretion and confidentiality
- Experience working with NAV would be advantageous
