FGCM Pty Ltd is a locally owned and growing mechanical, fabrication and mining maintenance company servicing Central Queensland. We are seeking a reliable, organised and motivated Storeperson to join our team and play a key role in supporting our workshop and site operations.

About the Role

This is more than just a stores position. You will be responsible for managing our workshop stores while coordinating vehicle servicing, site compliance, breakdown repairs and equipment maintenance. This role is critical in ensuring our workshop and field crews have the right parts, equipment and compliant vehicles available to deliver work safely and efficiently.

The successful applicant will take ownership of the stores function and work closely with supervisors, tradespeople and suppliers to keep operations running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate servicing, repairs and site compliance for company vehicles and equipment
- Receive, inspect and receipt incoming goods
- Pick, issue and distribute parts, consumables and materials
- Maintain accurate inventory and stock records
- Raise purchase orders and assist with procurement of stock and workshop requirements
- Monitor stock levels and reorder materials as required
- Organise and maintain stores, laydown areas and workshop consumables
- Liaise with suppliers, freight companies and workshop personnel




- Coordinate calibration, inspections and certification of workshop equipment
- Assist with stocktakes and inventory audits
- Maintain a safe, clean and organised work environment

About You

- Previous experience in a stores or warehouse role, preferably within mining, heavy industry or mechanical maintenance
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Mechanically minded with an understanding of workshop operations
- Ability to prioritise tasks and work autonomously
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Competent computer skills, including Outlook and Excel (experience with purchasing or inventory systems is an advantage)
- Current Forklift Licence (or willingness to obtain)
- Current Driver Licence (HR Licence or willingness to obtain)
- Strong commitment to safety, housekeeping and continuous improvement
