Stores & Inventory / Forklift Operator (Food Manufacturing)

Fast Fuel Meals is a high-volume food manufacturing business producing fresh, ready meals. We are looking for an experienced Forklift Operator to manage inbound receivals, storage and stock movements, while also supporting outbound deliveries, yard operations and general warehouse activities.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who is organised, reliable and safety-focused, with strong attention to FIFO, food safety and accurate receivals.

Fast Fuel Meals is a high-volume food manufacturing business producing fresh, ready meals. We are looking for an experienced Forklift Operator to manage inbound receivals, storage and stock movements, while also supporting outbound deliveries, yard operations and general warehouse activities.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who is organised, reliable and safety-focused, with strong attention to FIFO, food safety and accurate receivals.

Key Responsibilities

- Receive and unload chilled, dry and ambient goods,checking deliveries against purchase orders and delivery documentation.

- Inspect incoming goods for quantity, condition, batch details and use-by dates, escalating any discrepancies or issues.

- Ensure all incoming stock is correctly labelled, recorded and stored in the appropriate location.

- Maintain accurate FIFO stock rotation, ensuring older stock is used first and date control is maintained.

- Safely operate forklifts to unload, move and store pallets and materials throughout the warehouse and site.

- Ensure chilled and dry goods are stored correctly and in accordance with food safety and site requirements.

- Assist with outbound dispatch, including preparing and moving pallets and goods for customer and production deliveries.

- Assist with loading and unloading trucks and managing vehicle movements within the yard.

- Coordinate and assist with incoming deliveries, collections,



contractors and site services as required.

- Maintain a clean, organised and safe warehouse, receivals and yard area.

- Complete required receival, stock movement and dispatch documentation accurately.

- Work closely with Production, QA, Purchasing and Operations to ensure materials are available and moved efficiently.

- Assist with general warehouse, yard and site duties as required.

About You

- Previous experience as a forklift operator, warehouse operator or stores/receivals operator, preferably within food manufacturing or FMCG.

- Current forklift licence – essential.

- Solid understanding of FIFO, batch control, date control and food safety requirements.

- Experience receiving chilled, dry and ambient goods.

- Confident operating a forklift in a busy warehouse and yard environment.

- Strong attention to detail when checking deliveries, quantities, dates and documentation.

- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling and hands-on warehouse work.

- Reliable, punctual and able to work independently.

- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with production, QA, drivers, suppliers and contractors.

- Safety-focused with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.

- Willing to assist across warehouse, dispatch and yard operations as required.
