About the Role

Mocka is a design led, on trend furniture and homewares brand, making outstanding design accessible to everyone, without ever compromising on quality or style. Founded in 2007 as an online nursery brand, we've grown into a trusted name for every room and life stage. As we continue building our physical retail presence across Australia and New Zealand, we're seeking an enthusiastic, commercially minded Junior Category Manager to join our Product team, working across sofas, dining chairs, outdoor furniture and soft décor including rugs, throws and cushions.

Reporting to the Senior Category Manager, this is a great opportunity for someone who loves product, understands what drives commercial performance, and wants to build a career owning a category from range planning through to in market results.

What You'll Be Doing

- Supporting the commercial performance of your category, including sales, gross profit, margin and GMROI targets
- Assisting with range planning and OTB management, helping build options plans that align to business strategy and target audience
- Supporting product launches end to end, from sourcing and go to market planning through to lifecycle and exit management
- Helping manage the critical path to keep product launches and key milestones on track
- Supporting supplier relationship management, including performance evaluation and identifying opportunities for innovation
- Assisting with product specifications, covering quality, cost and materials
- Analysing sales and market data to help identify trends, risks and opportunities within your category
- Supporting the Senior Category Manager on range architecture, market and competitor reviews,



and Weekly Trade Meeting reporting
- Partnering with Marketing, Planning and Supply Chain to bring new ranges to market smoothly
- Building strong working relationships across the business, and taking on ad hoc duties as directed by the Head of Product

What You'll Bring

- Experience in Category Management, Buying, Merchandising or a related retail role
- A genuine interest in furniture and homewares design and market trends
- Strong analytical ability, with comfort interpreting sales and margin data to inform decisions
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
- Excellent organisation, communication and attention to detail, with the ability to work to deadlines
- A collaborative approach and the ability to work well within a structured, cross functional team
- Composure under pressure and a proactive, solutions focused mindset
