About Us
We are a busy and well-established Asian restaurant serving an extensive menu of traditional and contemporary Thai cuisine for dine-in, takeaway and delivery. Our menu includes wok-fried dishes, noodle and rice meals, soups, seafood, poultry, beef, pork and vegetarian specialties prepared to a consistently high standard. Due to ongoing business demand, we are seeking an experienced Cook to join our kitchen team.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, season and cook a wide variety of Asian and Thai dishes in accordance with established recipes.
- Assist with the preparation of ingredients, sauces and marinades for daily service.
- Operate commercial kitchen equipment including woks, deep fryers, grills and steamers.
- Ensure meals are prepared efficiently while maintaining presentation and quality standards.
- Monitor food quality, portion control and minimise food wastage.
- Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in accordance with HACCP requirements.
- Assist with stock rotation, storage and inventory control.
- Work collaboratively with Chefs and other kitchen staff during busy service periods.
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times.
Essential Requirements
- At least one year of relevant commercial cooking experience
- Have at least Certificate III Qualification in Commercial Cookery
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen
- Sound knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
- Ability to work evenings, weekends and public holidays as required
- Solid teamwork and communication skills
