The Role

This is a wide-ranging Consultant Anaesthetics position offering exposure across a broad range of clinical presentations and surgical specialties.
You will:

- Provide high-quality anaesthetic care across adult, paediatric and obstetric patients
- Manage a diverse range of elective and emergency surgical cases
- Participate in clinical research and quality improvement initiatives
- Contribute to the ongoing review and development of clinical practice
- Work collaboratively within an experienced multidisciplinary team
- Contribute to the delivery and ongoing development of regional anaesthetic services

About You

We would welcome applications from:

- FANZCA-qualified Consultant Anaesthetists
- Specialists eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia/AHPRA
- Rural Generalist Anaesthetists with appropriate qualifications and experience
- Internationally trained Anaesthetists with comparable specialist qualifications who may be eligible to pursue specialist recognition in Australia

Ideally, you will bring:

- Experience providing anaesthetic services across a broad range of surgical specialties
- Confidence managing adult, paediatric and obstetric anaesthesia
- Previous regional or rural experience, although this is not essential for the right candidate
- Experience in thoracic and vascular anaesthesia would be highly regarded
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills
- A collaborative approach and ability to establish effective working relationships across multidisciplinary teams
