About the Chance:

Reporting to the Senior Executive Chef, The Sous Chef will help lead a talented team and ensure the kitchen operates to optimum efficiency.

The ideal candidate has:

- Experience as a Sous Chef in high-volume kitchen environments.
- A proven track record of leading teams to achieve successful outcomes.
- The ability to lead teams and deliver high-quality service.
- Strong stock management skills – maintaining optimal stock conditions,



participating in regular stocktakes, and contributing to inventory management.
- The capability to manage staff performance and development.
- A solid understanding of financial budgets, including food and labour costs.
- Experience in managing and maintaining food safety programs, including all necessary documentation.
- Proficiency in rostering and ordering.
- The ability to monitor and ensure compliance with OH&S; standards and procedures.
- Exceptional time management skills.
- A calm and composed demeanor under pressure.
- A qualification in Commercial Cookery or an equivalent certification.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills – able to collaborate with chefs at all levels.
