We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Manager, Commercial to lead commercial activities across our Engineering & Construction (E&C;) portfolio and play a key role in the successful development and delivery of major renewable energy projects.

The Opportunity

Reporting into the E&C; leadership team, you will lead all pre-contract commercial activities and contract administration governance across a portfolio of renewable energy projects. Working closely with Project Delivery, Legal, Procurement and Development teams, you will ensure commercial agreements are structured, negotiated and executed to achieve successful project outcomes while effectively managing commercial risk.

You will also lead and develop a team of commercial professionals, helping drive commercial excellence, consistency and best practice across the business.

Key Responsibilities
Commercial Leadership

- Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing commercial team, including Contract Managers.

- Provide commercial leadership and strategic guidance across development and pre-construction activities.

- Promote the role of the commercial function and drive consistent application of the Commercial Management Plan across the business.

- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement new commercial processes, systems and initiatives.

Contracts & Negotiation

- Lead the development of project delivery strategies and contract packaging approaches.

- Develop and negotiate major contract packages, including scope of works, schedules, commercial terms and contract conditions.





- Work collaboratively with Procurement and Legal teams to determine optimal procurement strategies and contract structures.

- Lead negotiations with contractors, consultants, suppliers and project partners.

- Manage contract execution processes and ensure compliance with internal governance requirements.

Commercial Governance & Risk

- Establish and maintain robust commercial governance across projects.

- Ensure compliance with tender gate processes, negotiation mandates and delivery strategies.

- Provide oversight of contract administration and contract management activities during construction.

- Review commercial performance and contract reports to identify and mitigate risks.

- Support project teams through key milestones including Financial Close, Final Investment Decision (FID) and Ready-to-Build requirements.

Stakeholder Engagement

- Build strong relationships across Legal, Procurement, Development and Project Delivery teams.

- Maintain effective relationships with contractors, suppliers, consultants and industry stakeholders.

- Represent ACCIONA's interests within relevant industry forums and professional networks.

- Stay informed on market and industry developments that may impact project delivery and commercial outcomes.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

- A degree in Business, Commerce, Law, Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.

- 10+ years' experience in commercial management, contracts, project delivery or related disciplines.

- Proven experience leading commercial teams on major infrastructure, construction, energy or renewable energy projects.

- Strong contract negotiation, contract administration and commercial risk management expertise.

- Demonstrated experience developing commercial strategies and implementing governance frameworks.

- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.

- The ability to manage complex negotiations and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

- Robust leadership skills with a passion for coaching and developing people.
