The Chance
Our client is a highly regarded, Melbourne-based company within the energy sector, currently experiencing an exciting period of growth and innovation. Reporting to the Head of FP&A;, this role will lead a team of four and play an important role in improving financial planning, forecasting and performance management across the organisation. The role offers an excellent combination of technical FP&A;, leadership and stakeholder engagement, with exposure to senior leaders across a large and sophisticated business.
The Challenge
Key responsibilities will include:
- Leading and coordinating budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities
- Consolidating budgets and forecasts and challenging key assumptions, risks and opportunities
- Analysing financial performance and providing meaningful insights into key trends and variances
- Preparing management reporting and analysis for senior leadership, Executive and Board audiences
- Partnering with finance and business leaders to improve financial decision-making and accountability
- Developing performance measures and KPIs to improve visibility of business performance
- Driving continuous improvement across planning, reporting and analytical processes
- Leading and developing a team of four, building capability across analysis, planning and stakeholder engagement
The Expertise
Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:
- CA/CPA qualification with strong FP&A;, management accounting or commercial finance experience
- Demonstrated experience leading budgeting and forecasting processes within a large or complex organisation
- Strong financial analysis, management reporting and Excel capability
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the confidence to engage and influence senior leaders
- A proactive and curious mindset, with a genuine interest in improving processes and challenging the status quo
