About the role
We are actively seeking a Senior Associate with expertise inNative Title and cultural heritage law to join our well regardedSydney Public Law team. We act for Indigenous native titleclaimants, local Aboriginal land councils, governments (localcouncils, and State, Territory and Commonwealth agencies), privatesector developers, infrastructure owners and resource companies.The team is renowned for its exceptional mentorship and positiveculture, supported by encouraging partners. Day to day you willhave the following responsibilities:
- Attending directions hearings and hearings;
- Briefing Counsel and experts
- Complex statutory interpretation and advice
- Presenting and drafting articles
- Supervising lawyers in the day to day

About you
Essential skills include:
- Approximately 5+ years post qualification experience,ideally with experience in native title work.
- Excellent technical and drafting skills
- An enquiring mind as well as a possessing sound judgementand a can-do attitude
- A commitment to team work and achieving challengingobjectives
- Experience in litigation and alternative dispute resolutionincluding appearances at tribunals and/or court.
- Solid academic qualifications.
