We are seeking an experiencedDocking Project Managerto join our shipyard operations in Brisbane. Our facility specialises in the maintenance, repair, and refit of all types of marine vessels, including tugboats, barges, trawlers, as well as superyachts and other vessels up to 600 tonnes displacement.

This is a key role responsible for delivering complex docking projects safely, on time and within budget, while maintaining strong client relationships and coordinating multiple trades in a dynamic shipyard environment.

As project manager, you will be required to manage, supervise, plan and coordinate ship repair activities, to ensure agreed time, cost, quality, safety and environmental targets are met.

Your responsibilities willinclude:

Meet with clients and identify the scope/MWL prior to vessel arrival to organise services and any special requirements needed on arrival.

Manage end-to-end docking projects from induction to redelivery

Develop and maintain project schedules (Gantt charts) and critical path activities

Coordinate internal trades and subcontractors (mechanical, electrical, blasting & painting, fabrication)

Monitor progress, costs, and variations

Liaise directly with vessel owners, captains, and client representatives

Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and quality standards

Lead daily production and coordination meetings

Solutions orientated to support client’s scope of work to alleviate all concerns and problems.

Oversee the project quoting and planning for the successful preparation and management of the bid and tender development processes.





Drive a safety-first culture ensuring that all HS&E; policies and processes are followed, including task risk assessment and safe methods of work are followed.

Maintain the schedule and deconflict tasks as required.

Prepare and monitor KPI’s such as safety, quality, and delivery.

Manage the project cost control, contractors quotes and invoice and negotiations.

Develop relationships with boat owners, contractors, tenants, and other stakeholders.

Manage, build customer relationships, and communicate with clients to understand their needs and ensure their expectations are met throughout the production process.

Coordinate with internal and external contractors as required to achieve positive outcomes.

Work closely with the production team to ensure the highest quality standards are met and that projects are completed efficiently.

Conduct project closure, collect and confirm objective quality evidence reviewing the project's deliverables, ensuring all work was completed as planned, and transferring deliverables to the client.
