Nurselink Healthcare is seeking reliable and compassionate Disability Support Workers to provide person-centred support to a client in the Ballarat area.We are looking for support workers of any gender who have a sound understanding of neurological disabilities.
Knowledge or experience supporting people living with Huntington's Disease will be highly regarded.The role involves helping the client maintain independence, participate in the community and manage day-to-day activities in a respectful and supportive manner.Key DutiesProvide disability support in the client's home and communityAssist with community access and social participationProvide prompting and support with personal careUndertake light household cleaning dutiesSupport the client with daily routines and maintaining independenceProvide respectful, patient and person-centred careObserve and communicate any changes in the client's support needsAbout YouCompassionate,



patient and reliableComfortable supporting a person with a neurological disabilityFamiliar with or willing to develop a solid understanding of Huntington's DiseaseAble to communicate clearly and professionallyAble to work independently and follow individual support plansAvailable across 7 days of the week, including a variety of shiftsComfortable working shifts of a minimum of 2 hoursPrevious experience working in disability, community care, neurological support or complex care will be highly regarded.Relevant qualifications, NDIS Worker Screening Check, First Aid/CPR and other required compliance documentation should be current or obtainable prior to commencement.Why Join Nurselink Healthcare?
