Chester Metcalfe and Co - Heidelberg West VIC Chester Metcalfe & Co is a boutique criminal law firm based in the Northern Suburbs, with an office also in the Melbourne CBD.
We are looking for someone to join our admin team as a full time legal secretary.
You will be part of a 3 person admin team who assist 5 lawyers who run between the office and court most days.
We are a close knit team where you will have the chance to work alongside experienced criminal lawyers and be exposed to a variety of criminal law matters from day one.
We service all courts in Victoria, and represent both private and legal aid clients.
People with an interest in Criminal Law are encouraged to apply.
Experience as a legal secretary in a Criminal Law setting is preferred.
The role includes: Greeting clients and answering phone calls Processing legal aid applications Drafting court documentsvia Action step and CMS Diary management Assisting lawyers Liaising with stakeholders: Courts Victoria Police Barristers Forensic services Arranging assessments for clients Preparing briefs for Counsel We are looking for someone to start immediately.
Renumeration will be commensurate with experience.
