About the roleComuna Cantina is seeking an experienced Chef to join our team in our City venue.
As the Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our kitchen, ensuring effective and high-quality delivery of meals.
This is a full-time role based in Brisbane CBD.What you'll be doingManage all aspects of kitchen operations, including scheduling, inventory management, and budgetingEnsure the kitchen adheres to all food safety and hygiene regulationsHire, develop and manage the kitchen teamOversee the training and development of kitchen staff to maintain high standards of food preparation and presentationCollaborate with the front-of-house team to align kitchen and service operationsImplement and monitor systems and procedures to optimise kitchen efficiencyDevelop and refine menu items to meet customer demands and dietary requirementsManage food cost and wastage to maintain profitabilityWhat we're looking for1 year of experience as a Chef, Kitchen Manager, or equivalent role in the hospitality industryExcellent knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen operationsStrong leadership and team management skillsAbility to multitask, prioritise,
