Renowned for delivering quality dining experiences and exceptional customer service, the hotel offers a diverse menu featuring fresh, high-quality ingredients in a welcoming and rapid-paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare, cook and present menu items in accordance with established recipes, portion requirements and presentation standards.Organise food preparation and cooking stations to support efficient service during busy periods.Monitor food quality, portion sizes and presentation to maintain consistency and minimise waste.Assist with menu planning, including contributing ideas for daily specials and seasonal dishes.Ensure ingredients are prepared, stored and rotated correctly to maintain freshness and reduce spoilage.Maintain a clean,
safe and organised commercial kitchen in accordance with food safety and hygiene requirements.Set up and pack down hot and cold food stations before and after service.Monitor stock levels, assist with ordering supplies and report inventory requirements.Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff and front‐of‐house employees to support efficient service.Assist with supervising and providing basic training to junior kitchen staff.Skills & ExperienceRelevant qualification in Commercial Cookery or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.At least 1 year demonstrated experience preparing and cooking a broad range of dishes in a commercial kitchen.Robust knowledge of food safety and hygiene requirements.Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced workplace while maintaining attention to detail.Excellent organisational and time management skills.Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.A positive attitude, reliability and commitment to producing high-quality food.Hours: 38 hoursWork eligibility: Permitted to work in Australia unrestrictedSalary: Minimum AUD$* plus superannuation
